Stronger together – Interferry partners with EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation
The global association for the ferry industry, Interferry, enters a partnership with the international communications agency EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation. Based on its many years of work within the transport and shipping industry, EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation will support Interferry as their new international PR and communication agency.
Ferries are a fundamental factor as an economic and social enabler worldwide. In 2019 the industry contributed with 60 billion dollars to the world GDP, 1,1 million jobs globally and at least 4.27 billion passengers travelled by ferry worldwide. With more than 270 member companies, Interferry represents the ferry industry in all matters towards public, private and political stakeholders.
EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation will help strengthen and develop the position and branding of Interferry by highlighting the economic impact and importance of the global ferry industry, as well as sector specific challenges regarding regulation, safety and transformation.
"Working with Interferry is an important milestone for us as a sector specialised agency. For almost 30 years, we have executed communication services for clients in the transport and ferry industry, and the collaboration with Interferry is a validation of this specialisation. We are highly motivated to help spread the messages about the importance of the ferry industry to opinion leaders, politicians and many other stakeholders," says Allan Sonne Sørensen, Partner & CEO at EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation.
"Stronger together is the guiding principle of Interferry, and we are very excited to start the partnership with EHRENBERG SØRENSEN Kommunikation, an agency that deliberately specialises in our industry. We are confident that they can help us raise awareness of the importance of our members' work and the ferry industry's contribution to the world economy," says Mike Corrigan, CEO at Interferry.
