Silversea orders two new Evolution Class vessels at Meyer Werft and one expedition ship at De Hoop Shipyard

CruiseLuxury cruise line Silversea, now owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCCL), has moved quickly into the newbuilding market following its recent acquisition by RCCL, and has ordered three new vessels from European shipyards – two new Evolution Class vessels from Meyer Werft, with delivery from 2022, and one expedition vessel, to be named SILVER ORIGIN, from the Dutch Shipyard De Hoop, with delivery set for March 2020. The latter vessel will serve the Galapagos Islands itinerary currently operated by the 1990-built SILVER GALAPAGOS. No price has given for the orders.
