Record 2023 for Bornholmslinjen
2023 set a record for Bornholmslinjen with its routes to and from Bornholm. 1,993,966 passengers travelled back and forth on the three routes. That is almost 46,000 more than in the previous record, year 2022.
583,943 cars were transported in 2023-about 10,000 more than in the previous record year, also in 2022.
About 2,000 fewer lorries were carried compared to 2022, totalling at 45,345.
"We are very soon approaching the magical limit of two million ferry passengers on Bornholm. When it becomes possible to fully utilize the potential of the world's largest fast ferry, EXPRESS 5, I am convinced that we will pass the two million passengers", says Molslinjen's commercial director, Jesper Skovgaard.
2024 will be the year when the ferry capacity to Bornholm can be seriously utilized. The marching areas in Rønne will be expanded, as they have already been in Ystad.
"With EXPRESS 5 as the main ferry throughout next year, there will be capacity to develop traffic further. It will be exciting to see if it will be in 2024 that we reach the two million travellers", says Jesper Skovgaard.
