P&O Ferries expand fast-track for school groups
FerryP&O Ferries has expanded its MOANA border system to include school groups returning from Calais, after strong uptake on outbound Dover crossings. Developed with the Department for Transport and the Department for Education, the system allows passenger details to be submitted in advance to French border authorities.
This helps speed up checks, reduce processing times, and improve the travel experience for school groups crossing the Channel. The is reported by the specialist media School Travel Organiser. With high adoption since launch, eligible groups can now use the streamlined process on both legs of their journey, supporting more predictable and efficient crossings, especially during peak periods. P&O Ferries reports particularly strong usage in November and December, with all school group bookings using the system on several dates. On its busiest Christmas travel day, more than 85% of school groups chose the fast-track option.
