Pentland Ferries loses appeal against state aid for Northern Isles ferry services

FerryScottish family-owned ferry operator Pentland Ferries, which operates a single vessel passenger/vehicle service linking the Scottish mainland with Orkney, has lost its appeal against state aid from the Scottish Government for the ferry services between the Scottish mainland and Orkney and Shetland, currently operated by Serco NorthLink Ferries.
