New seven-year ferry concession awarded to Torghatten
FerryTorghatten has signed a concession contract with Nordland County (Northern Norway) for the operation of two ferry routes: Sandnessjøen–Bjørn (Dønna island)–Løkta and Søvik–Austbø–Flostad (Herøy island)–Brasøy.
The contract, signed on 12 January, runs for seven years starting on 1 February 2027. The two routes will be served by a total of three ferries, each with a capacity of 70 passenger cars, as well as one reserve ferry with a capacity of 60 passenger cars.
