New FRS service between Bimini and Miami
Hi-speedFRS Caribbean LLC announce that their new service between Miami and Bimini (Bahamas) will start September 23.
The vessel to be used will be the 2001-built 51m high-speed craft SAN GWANN, with a capacity for 427 passengers and 27 vehicules.
One way fares start at US$ 69.98 plus Bahamas Departure taxes, with round-trip fares at US$130.98 plus Bahamas Departure taxes.
The 49 nautical mile trip will take 2 hours, with the HSC SAN GWANN having a cruising speed of 38 knots. The company website states that the schedule will allow visitors to Bimini up to 8 hours ashore, but its not clear whether one or two round trips will be performed.
