Moby and Ichnusa continues on Sardinia-Corsica route under a new agreement
FerryMoby Lines and Ichnusa Lines will continue jointly operating the public service routes between Santa Teresa di Gallura and Bonifacio (Sardinia to Corsica) until 31 October 2026. The two companies were the only applicants and received authorization from the Sardinia Region under a new procedure introduced last July.
The Region’s goal was to ensure greater continuity, offering compensation only for November-March and requiring that operators providing winter service also operate in summer. It also aimed to have two RoPax vessels on the route, at least during the next summer season.
Under the approved joint plan, the companies will split sailings almost equally. In winter, Moby will operate 608 sailings and receive EUR 448,953, while Ichnusa Lines will operate 600 sailings for EUR 443,046. Moby will use the 1989-built 592 passenger/60 cars BUNIFAZZIU, and Ichnusa Lines will continue with the 1986-built 650 passenger/51 cars ICHNUSA.
