Heart Land Ferry to introduce a new ship in 2027
FerryWakkanai-based Heart Land Ferry announced that a new ship will enter service on the Wakkanai, Hokkaido-Rebun Island-Rishiri Island route early in spring of 2027.
The new ship will be a sister ship to AMAPOLA SOYA, which entered service in February 2019. The existing BOREAS SOYA, which entered service in August 2003, will be replaced.
The new ferry will have a kids room in the midst of the ship, from the idea that “children, who will carry the future, should be at the center of society,” according to Heart Land Ferry.
Also, a stern part of a car deck will be covered to keep seawater from entering. As a result, stability will advance.
