Grimaldi to grow in Valencia through its own facility
Ro-roIn order to cope with soaring car trade in Spain and insufficient parking areas, Grimaldi group will start the construction of a new multi-storey park in Valencia.
The potential expansion of VTE Valencia Terminal Europa, located at Dique del Este, currently covering 208,000 square metres area and provided with 1,400 metres quay, was already evaluated last year, when the infrastructure recorded a considerable growth in FIAT vehicles trade (soared from 66,000 handled in 2014 to 100,000 in 2015), so that Ford vehicles exports, usually handled at VTE, had to be diverted to Sagunto; 2016 will see a substantial increase in car import again.
