Wallenius Wilhelmsen signs major agreement with Asian auto manufacturer
Ro-roWallenius Wilhelmsen has entered a three-year shipping contract with a leading Asian auto manufacturer. The contract is valued at approximately USD 700 million over the initial three-year period.
Rates are in line with current market levels and include a two-year extension option, subject to mutual agreement.
"This agreement builds on a strong track record and the trust we have established with the customer across our services. The significant long-term commitment strengthens our position as a key logistics partner and gives us an even stronger foundation for providing end-to-end solutions across ocean, logistics, and supply chain services," says John Felitto, Chief Customer Officer at Wallenius Wilhelmsen.
Further, the agreement which was announced in a stock exchange announcement on 2 November, incorporates a multi-fuel approach across all trade lanes, designed to accommodate the gradual introduction of alternative and lower-emission fuels.
