Greek double-ended ferry sold to Guyana

FerryGreek company Psomas Shipping is reported to have sold its 2020-built double-ended RoPax ARIS IV. The exact identity of the buyer is not yet known by Shippax, but the buyer is registered in Guyana. ARIS IV was delivered to Psomas Shipping by the Perama-based Atsalakis Shipyard as a replacement for the 2010-built ARIS III, which was sold to the Italian operator Delcomar.

MARAD (the Maritime Administration Department of Guyana) currently operates the 1,700 GT, 276-passenger/14-car ferry MA LISHA, delivered in 2023 from an Indian shipyard, in coastal traffic out of the capital, Georgetown. The 827 GT ARIS IV measures 58.8 metres in length overall, has a beam of 15.7 metres, and a deadweight capacity of 550 tonnes.
