Former ferry tycoon dies at age 86
May 21 2020

'Jim' Sherwood following complications arising from abdominal surgery brings to a close a remarkable and controversial business career that began in early-1960s America as a provider of leasable shipping containers and peaked in the late-1980s as the Chairman and CEO of the sprawling Sea Containers conglomerate, which at different times included a wide variety of ferry operating subsidiaries.
