FMEL nationalised by the Scottish Government – saving CMAL’s ferries

YardThe Scottish Government has stepped in to rescue the last commercial shipbuilder on the lower Clyde, Ferguson Marine Engineering Ltd (FMEL), 350 jobs and two LNG-powered ferries building for Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd (CMAL), by nationalising the shipyard.
