MISTERØY
First Northern European ferry newbuilding launched at Özata Shipyard
FerryÖzata Shipyard in Turkey launched NB101 (TBN MISTERØY) on 3 February. The vessel is expected to be delivered to Torghatten in June this year. MISTERØY will be the first of a total of three 76.8-metre ferries, each equipped with a 1,960-kWh battery pack, to be built by the yard for Torghatten.
The second unit in the series, NB102 (TBN FLØYTIND), is expected to be delivered in September. The third unit in the series, NB104, will not be delivered until August 2028. The order from Torghatten is the yard’s first project for a Northern European ferry operator. The series has been designed by The Norwegian Ship Design Company.
