Current Northern Isles Ferry Services contract extended to the end of January 2020

FerryThe current contract to operate Scotland’s Northern Isles ferry services, due to expire on 31 October this year, has been extended until the end of January 2020. This follows further engagement with the European Commission over ongoing complaints from Scottish operator Pentland Ferries on unfair state subsidies to a competitor – Serco NorthLink Ferries Ltd (SNLFL).
