China Merchants completes takeover of Avic Weihai Shipyard

YardThe takeover of one of the world’s largest builders of large ro-pax ferries, China’s Avic Weihai Shipyard, has been completed by China Merchants Offshore Engineering, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Merchants Group. Avic Weihai Shipyard currently has on order nine E-Flexer Class ro-pax ferries and an option on a further two vessels, for Sweden’s Stena.
