Caronte & Tourist takes delivery of double-ender PIETRO MONDELLO
FerryThe 134-metre PIETRO MONDELLO for Caronte & Tourist has been delivered from the Turkish Sefine Shipyard. PIETRO MONDELLO is a near sister to the 2018-delivered ELIO, but with a number of technical changes, one being the addition of a 2 MWh battery pack.
Both LMG-designed vessels are fitted with dual-fuel LNG-capable engines and have capacities for 1,500 passengers and 290 cars each.
Just as ELIO, PIETRO MONDELLO is intended for the Messina Strait between Messina and Villa San Giovanni.
