Carl-Johan Hagman proposed to Gotlandsbolaget's board
At Gotlandsbolaget's general meeting on 1 June, Carl-Johan Hagman is proposed as a new board member in the company.
Carl-Johan Hagman has a long background in international shipping, with leading positions such as responsible for shipping operations at Stena, CEO of Höegh Autoliners, CEO of Walleniusrederierna and today head of NYK Group in Europe and Africa.
"It is very gratifying that Carl-Johan has accepted the nomination to join Gotlandsbolaget's board. His long experience in shipping further strengthens the board's competence in the group's shipping operations. His network within global shipping and neighboring industries will bring us new perspectives and valuable contacts," says Gotlandsbolaget's board chairman Ann-Marie Åström.
Carl-Johan Hagman comments:
"Gotlandsbolaget is a well-run and exciting shipping company. The company is not only the lifeblood between Gotland and the mainland, but also stands for visionary leadership in creating the fossil-free maritime transport of the future. The technical know-how and the measures already taken today with both new ships and new fuels mean that Gotlandsbolaget has an internationally leading position. It will be exciting to be part of the further journey, when Gotlandsbolaget is involved in solving the biggest challenge of our generation, namely to reduce the 1 billion tonnes of CO2 that global shipping emits annually."
The general meeting proposes the re-election of all other board members.
