Baleària expands its connections to Algeria with services to Algiers and Oran
FerryBaleària will expand its connections to Algeria with new routes that will be gradually opened over the next few weeks and that will allow it to diversify both the ports of departure (Valencia and Barcelona), as well as those of the North African country (Algiers, Oran and Mostaganem). Baleària has been operating in Algeria since 2016, and currently has a weekly connection between Valencia and Mostaganem.
From 18 October, Baleària will add a second weekly connection to Algeria with a service between the port of Valencia and Algiers, which will complement its connection from Mostaganem. Later, at the end of December, Baleària will have three weekly departures, as it will open a link between the Valencian port and Oran. Finally, from 15 January, Baleària will open a service that will connect Barcelona and Algiers for the first time, in addition to maintaining two weekly connections to Valencia: a fixed one to the Algerian capital and another from Oran or Mostaganem, which will alternate each week.
“With this new schedule we will improve maritime connectivity between Algeria and Spain, with services based on quality and excellence and offering more route options to adapt to the needs of customers,” said Georges Bassoul, general manager of Baleària. “We are pleased to operate for the first time in the port of the country's capital and connect it with two of the most important in Spain, such as Valencia and Barcelona,” stressed Bassoul.
