
Attica Group signs MoU with the ONEX Group for major fleet renewal programme
A MoU has been signed between Attica Group and the ONEX Group for the previously announced EUR 1 billion fleet upgrade programme. The agreement stretches for a 10-year period and involves modernization of the fleet of Attica Group and its subsidiaries at the facilities of the Elefsina and Syros Shipyards of the ONEX Group.
The signing ceremony took place at the Ministry of Development by the President and CEO of ONEX, Panos Xenokostas and the President of Attica Group, Kyriakos Magira, in the presence of the US Ambassador to Athens, George Tsounis, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Christos Stylianides and the Minister of Labor, Adonis Georgiadis.
