Approval in Principle awarded to NAOS’ Wing Sail Module
Rina has awarded an Approval in Principle to NAOS Ship and Boat Design for its Wing Sail Module®, a system that harnesses the energy of the wind to reduce the ship's emissions, granting significant immediate benefits: savings in fuel consumption and improved compliance with IMO Regulations and EU Directives.
The NAOS Wing Sail Module® consists of a smart, rigid wing, has folding ability and can be used by different types of vessels in a modular way.
