ALD Sea Transport takes delivery of ALD 8
FerryPhilippines-based ALD Sea Transport took delivery of the newbuilding ALD 8 from China’s Zhejiang Tianshi Shipbuilding in early September.
The 2,352-GT ALD 8 is a sister ship to ANNTHER 8, which ALD Sea Transport took delivery of from the same shipyard in December 2024. Both vessels are based on the so-called Wira design, which forms the platform for a series of new small Philippine RoPax ferries built in China.
ALD 8 has an overall length of 72 metres and a beam of 15 metres. It has capacity for 467 passengers.
