Starbucks®-Proudly now served onboard all passenger ferries across Tallink Grupp fleet
Tallink Grupp has this week announced that it has now completed the roll-out of the Starbucks® We Proudly Serve concept across its passenger fleet and all 11 passenger ferries – shuttle ferries as well as cruise ferries – now serve the world famous and popular coffee.
Tallink Grupp, the Baltics’ largest shipping operator, first started selling Starbucks® drinks onboard its vessels on the Tallinn-Helsinki route in April 2018, finally enabling Estonian consumers to purchase the world-renowned company’s iconic drinks close to home. Since last April, the company has gradually brought the well-known coffee brand onboard all its passenger ferries and the famous coffee is now available to the company’s passengers on all the group’s passenger ships.
“All travel enthusiasts from Estonia certainly know Starbucks coffee very well, because Starbucks® has cafes in more than 70 countries in the world,” said Paavo Nõgene, Tallink Grupp’s CEO. “We are pleased that now, the legendary Starbucks experience is available onboard all our passenger vessels across our fleet.”
Tallink Grupp now sells Starbucks® coffees and teas in the cafés onboard its vessels MEGASTAR, STAR, SILJA EUROPA, VICTORIA I, BALTIC QUEEN, SILJA SERENADE, SILJA SYMPHONY, GALAXY, BALTIC PRINCESS, ROMANTIKA and ISABELLE as an official member of the We Proudly Serve Starbucks® partnership programme.
“The partnership agreement we have with Starbucks® is part of our strategy to ensure the best quality travel experience and comfort for our customers onboard our ships, which, of course, also includes culinary experiences,” Nõgene said. “To qualify for the exclusive Starbucks® partnership rights, the employees of our cafés have gone through thorough training, which has introduce them to the strictly regulated Starbucks® coffee-brewing standards, proper serving and the specific features of each coffee or other drink.”
The range of Starbucks® coffees, teas and other drinks in the cafés on Tallink Grupp ships includes a total of over 15 items. “In addition, we are selling seasonal favourites regularly, and, of course, the drinks will be served in the iconic cups with the mermaid logo,” Nõgene concluded.
The cafe menus include Starbucks® drinks in three sizes* – Espresso, Tall and Grande, – and cover the range of Americano, Latte, Cappuccino, cold coffee drinks and Teavana® teas.
