Virgin Voyages and Fincantieri finalize contract
CruiseThe MEUR 2.000 contract between Virgin Voyages and Fincantieri for three new cruise ships has now been finalized. The ships will be built at the Sestri Ponente shipyard in Genoa with deliveries set at 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively.
Each ship will become 110,000 gross tons, 278 meters long, 38 meters wide and will be able to carry 2800 passengers with 1100 crew members. Many energy saving and environmetally friendly solutions will be used such as energy recovery systems.
