Phoenix Reisen buys INSIGNIA from Oceania Cruises
CruisePhoenix Reisen announced that it has bought the 1998-built INSIGNIA from Oceania Cruises and will operate her as ALVARA from November 2027. Terms were not disclosed.
The 700-passenger ship will arrive at Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven in September 2027 for modifications and repainting in Phoenix's livery. She will be named in Hamburg on 26 November 2027, and her first programme includes short cruises, a Christmas cruise and two longer Mediterranean voyages.
INSIGNIA's planned calls in Greece have been cancelled following the sale.
