VIKING SUN launched at Fincantieri
CruiseThe cruise ship VIKING SUN, 4th in a series of six identical vessels for Swiss operator Viking Ocean Cruises, was launched at Fincantieri in Ancona on December 15. The Italian yard will now begin to fit the ship’s interior. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in autumn 2017.
VIKING SUN at GT 47,800 follows sister ships VIKING STAR (delivered in March 2015), VIKING SEA (delivered March 2016) and VIKING SKY (due to delivery in February 2017). The 5th ship in the series, scheduled for completion in June 2018, will be named VIKING SPIRIT. All ships have a capacity for 946 passengers (lower berths).
