Serco NorthLink Ferries retains Northern Isles ferry services contract

FerryThe current holder of the Northern Isles ferry services contract in Scotland, Serco NorthLink Ferries, has beaten off competition from Clyde-based Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac) to secure the latest contract to run the lifeline ferry services from the Scottish mainland to Orkney and Shetland. The eight-year contract, which starts on 31 October this year, is worth around GBP 345 million.
