RHAPSODY OF THE SEAS suffers storm damage, again
CruiseRoyal Caribbean International’s RHAPSODY OF THE SEAS encountered some bad weather while sailing from Corfu to Santorini on September 19.
According to a company spokesman, the vessel sustained "some minor damage to public areas" before weather conditions improved later that day. It is reported that among the onboard areas damaged were some of the ship's panoramic windows as well as glass surface on the pool deck. Passengers were requested to stay away from the outside decks and public lounges and remain in the cabins as long as the storm was raging.
The same vessel hit the headlines only half a year ago when she sailed through another Mediterranean storm in late April which caused the flooding of several cabins and hallways. However, there were no serious injuries reported in either incident.
