Ponant signs firm order with Fincantieri to build two cruise ships for its Paul Gauguin Cruises brand

CruisePonant has made the EUR 300 million memorandum of agreement (MoA) with Fincantieri announced a month ago, a firm contract. Fincantieri will design and build two 11,000gt, 230-passenger capacity luxury expedition cruise ships, due for delivery in 2022. To be built by Fincantieri-controlled VARD, the order includes an option for one more ship of the same class.
