Paavo Nõgene to step down as CEO of AS Tallink Grupp
AS Tallink Grupp has informed the stock exchange that Paavo Nõgene, who has led Tallink for eight years, will step down from his position this coming spring. His final day as a member of the Management Board will be 22 May 2026.
“Paavo Nõgene proved to be an exceptional leader for Tallink during extremely challenging crisis years. I want to thank him for his deep dedication and his contribution in steering the company through those difficult times. Tallink is in good health and well-positioned to move forward,” said Enn Pant, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AS Tallink Grupp.
“Every leader must assess whether they still bring added value to the company or whether they may become an obstacle to future development. Having led Tallink for eight years and helped guide the company through three major crises — the pandemic, the war, and the economic downturn in our operating countries — it is time to pass the baton so that a new leader can continue to develop and guide Tallink,” said outgoing CEO Paavo Nõgene.
“I want to thank Tallink’s nearly five thousand excellent colleagues, the leaders across different fields, and the Supervisory Board for their outstanding cooperation. Tallink is an exceptionally strong company with truly great employees. My respect goes to each and every one of them. I also thank all media outlets for their constructive and positive cooperation,” Nõgene added.
The Supervisory Board of AS Tallink Grupp will begin the search for a new CEO.
