Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings third quarter 2016 results

FinanceGAAP net income was MUSD 342.4 or EPS of $1.50 compared to MUSD 251.8 or $1.09 in the prior year. The Company generated Adjusted Net Income of MUSD 369.3 or Adjusted EPS of $1.62 compared to MUSD 311.1 or $1.35 in the prior year.
Revenue increased 15.6% to MUSD 1.500 compared to MUSD 1.300 in 2015. Adjusted Net Revenue in the period increased 17.0% to MUSD 1.100 compared to MUSD 978.2 in 2015. These increases were primarily attributed to the addition of NORWEGIAN ESCAPE, OCEANIA SIRENA, and REGENT SEVEN SEAS EXPLORER to the fleet. Gross Yield increased 1.5% while Adjusted Net Yield improved 3.4% on a Constant Currency basis and 2.8% on an as reported basis primarily due to improved pricing.
Gross Cruise Cost increased 10.5% in 2016 compared to 2015 due to an increase in total cruise operating expense as a result of an increase in Capacity Days along with an increase in marketing expense. Gross Cruise Costs per Capacity Day decreased 3.0%. Adjusted Net Cruise Cost Excluding Fuel per Capacity Day increased 1.7% on both a Constant Currency and as reported basis primarily due an increase in marketing expenses.
