Mitsubishi’s Shimonoseki shipyard to build Ferry Sunflower’s two LNG-powered ro-paxes

FerryDuring the second half of November 2019, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) announced plans to build two LNG-powered ro-pax ferries at Mitsubishi Shipbuilding for its Ferry Sunflower subsidiary. The two-ship newbuilding contract has now been concluded and the ships’ 199.9m lengths allow them to be built on the slipways of Mitsubishi’s Shimonoseki shipyard.
