LIVIA left dry-docking in Denmark, ready to take up service for New Zealand’s Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferries
FerryThe former STENA LIVIA has now appeared in its new livery for New Zealand’s Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferries following dry-docking at Fayard in Denmark. Now renamed LIVIA, the 2008-built Visentini MK-I ro-pax will replace Bluebridge’s 1997-built Visentini ro-pax STRAIT FERONIA in the second half of 2025.
The new ferry will boost vehicle capacity by 10 per cent and offer a substantial increase in passenger space with additional upgrades, according to the company.
StraitNZ Bluebridge bought the former STENA LIVIA from Stena Line in March this year, which served between Travemünde, Germany, and Liepaja, Latvia.
