GSI secures order for at least 10 PCTCs
Ro-roChina CSSC Holdings Limited has secured a contract for 10 LNG dual-fuel PCTCs for construction at its subsidiary GSI (Guangzhou Shipyard International). According to a stock exchange announcement issued by CSSC, the contract, formally signed on 1 September, has a total value of more than USD 1 billion.
The 10 newbuildings, each with a capacity of 8,200 CEU, are scheduled for delivery between 2029 and 2031. Chinese media report that the order includes options for a further four vessels, bringing the potential series to 10+4, and that the buyer is believed to be Ray Car Carriers. Neither of these details appears in CSSC’s stock exchange announcement.
