Complete makeover of Øresundslinjens AURORA
FerryWhen the electric ferry, AURORA, is put into operation on 2 October after a stay in the shipyard, it is a ferry that is almost unrecognisable. The entire ferry has been given a makeover from top to bottom and has been equipped with, among other things, a completely newly renovated restaurant, where the concept is quality over quantity.
The electric ferry, AURORA, is almost unrecognizable. The Øresundslinjen electric ferry is currently at the shipyard in Landskrona, where the ferry will get a brand new paint job and the Øresundslinjen logo - and where the two decks in the passenger areas will be completely renovated. This means that floors, ceilings, walls and fixtures on 11,000 m2 will be completely new. The ship's shop will also be bigger and will have an even bigger selection for shoppers.
In addition, a large number of technical systems are checked and renovated before the ferry is reinstated on its route between Helsingør and Helsingborg on 2 October.
"We are looking forward to seeing the ferry back in its familiar surroundings, and we are very much looking forward to showing the "new" ferry to our guests. And perhaps most of all, we are looking forward to showing them the new restaurant, 'Opus Wine & Dine'", says Molslinjen's managing director, Kristian Durhuus.
The new restaurant Libitum Social Dining on the sister ferry TYCHO BRAHE, which opened in March this year, was an instant success with lots of guests in the buffet. And now the turn has come to the restaurant at AURORA, where guests can sail back and forth and choose à la carte dishes and wines from a carefully selected wine list.
"We invest in the guests' experiences on board. Øresundslinjen connects two countries and a region both for those who are simply looking for transport to the other side of the strait - and for those who want to get on the water and have an experience. They both get a big quality boost at AURORA", promises Kristian Durhuus.
