Brodosplit builds polar expedition cruise ship
CruiseCroatian shipyard Brodosplit on November 08 landed an order from an as yet unnamed operator for a polar expedition cruise ship.
The vessel will be built according to ice-class LR PC6 which correspondents to the Swedish-Finnish ice class 1A Super. The ship has a capacity for 196 passengers in 95 cabins with a crew compliment of 69. It will be 107.6 m long and 17.6 m wide and sail at a speed of 15 knots.
Brodosplit names the delivery date as 2019. The identity of the owner or operator ordering the vessel has not been revealed but is believed to be Oceanwide Expeditions (Vlissingen).
