AIDAprima in rare bunkering mishap
Cruise Aida Cruises’ flagship AIDAprima encountered a rare bunkering mishap while re-fuelling in the port of Rotterdam on November 25.
In the Dutch port, the Aida Cruises vessel according to the German operator “unfortunately was not supplied with fuel of the demanded high quality”. This made it necessary to take on bunkers the following day (November 26) in the port of Hamburg. The mishap led to an unusual 14-hour delay in the AIDAprima’s departure from Hamburg, forcing Aida to cancel the ship’s scheduled weekly call in Le Havre.
