Stena Line is reopening for Kiel cruises
Stena Line is now reopening for cruises on the Kiel ferry from Gothenburg for the fully vaccinated. Cruise guests are currently not allowed to disembark in Germany though due to quarantine rules.
A Kiel cruise means a trip from Gothenburg to Kiel roundtrip with two nights and a full day at the quay in Kiel. On board there are several cabin options, restaurants and bars as well as a large shop with reduced prices on alcohol, tobacco and confectionery. The cruises are offered to foot passengers, car passengers and bus trips, but cruise guests are currently not allowed to leave the ship in Kiel as Germany has quarantine rules for travellers from Sweden. Initially, the cruises are offered on departures on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Gothenburg.
“We know that there is a great interest in travelling and we want to give our customers the opportunity to go out to sea, eat and drink well and shop at reduced prices in our onboard store. We continue to sail with a reduced number of passengers and our extra COVID-19 safety on board. There is plenty of space to keep your distance both indoors and outdoors on the ferry," says Carl Mårtensson, Press Manager at Stena Line.
To travel on the Kiel cruise, you need either a certificate that you have been fully vaccinated (at least 14 days ago and a maximum of 180 days ago) or a maximum of 72 hours old certificate of a negative COVID-19 test on arrival in Sweden.
