Semcon develops AI-driven data management for Stena Line
By combining the latest in AI, data mining and information architecture, Semcon is now supporting the shipping company Stena Line in a new pilot project to develop a unique data management solution. A solution that paves the way for new digital, sustainable and profitable services at Stena Line.
Stena Line makes a fantastic investment in digital transformation and we are happy to be part of their journey.
Carl-Johan Aldén, Global Business Director Digital Solutions at Semcon
Stena Line invests heavily in digitalisation - in all different parts of the business. In a new pilot project, Semcon has been commissioned to develop a smart solution for handling all the data that is a prerequisite for new digital offers and more AI projects for the shipping company in the future.
This is an exciting project that is really right in time. We at Semcon have a unique combination of expertise in information management and AI. This enables us to create smart data management solutions that enable new digital services.
Carl-Johan Aldén, Global Business Director Digital Solutions at Semcon
In this project, Semcon's and Stena Line's respective AI teams and experts in semantics and information structure have jointly developed a dynamic and scalable semantic layer. This means that all existing data in all different systems can be connected in a smart and efficient way with the one who needs access, whether it is a human or another advanced AI solution.
Stena Line has an ambition to become the world's first cognitive ferry company with support from AI throughout its operations. To succeed, we need to structure and make all our data and knowledge available. For example, it may be about financial and operational data. It will be exciting to see what new values ??we can create together with Semcon.
