SeaLink Travel Group officially welcomed their newest ferry, PARRABAH
SeaLink Travel Group CEO Clint Feuerherdt officially welcomed their newest ferry, PARRABAH, into service on 21 April for Bruny Island in Tasmania. The official launch was held in conjunction with the South East Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation (SETAC) who performed a traditional welcome to country and smoking ceremony.
PARRABAH, meaning whale in the local First Nation peoples’ language will provide Bruny Island residents and tourists with a faster, more efficient and reliable connection between Kettering and Roberts Point.
PARRABAH will join her sister vessel NAIRANA, which was launched early last year. Both vessels were built by local Tasmanian shipbuilders Richardson Devine Marine.
