Mr Vahur Sõstra appointed as the Captain of Tallink's new ferry
The Captain of the ro-pax ferry BALTIC QUEEN, Mr Vahur Sõstra, has been appointed as the captain for MEGASTAR. The vessel will be christened and floated out in Turku on Friday July 1.
Captain Sõstra will be engaged already this year in the trainings of the crew for the smooth launch of the new ship. According to the plans, her delivery will take place in the beginning of 2017. MEGASTAR will be 212 meters long, can accommodate 2,800 passengers and will start operating on Tallinn-Helsinki route under the brand Tallink Shuttle.
Mr Sõstra has been working as a Captain in Tallink`s fleet for 12 years. He has been the captain of KAPELLA, REGAL STAR, SUPERFAST VIII, STAR and the BALTIC QUEEN.
