More oranges for Shikoku
Ferry Saijo-based Shikoku Kaihatsu Ferry (Orange Ferry) ordered two 15,000 GT car ferries from Imabari Shipbuilding.
The two ferries are expected to enter service in summer of 2018.
Shikoku Kaihatsu Ferry operates the ORANGE 7 and the ORANGE 8 on the Toyo-Osaka route, and the ORANGE HOPE on the Niihama-Kobe route.
Unconfirmed reports say they will be replaced by the two new car ferries.
Oranges are the best known agricultural products of Shikoku, hence the name.
