Liberty Lines launched a new hydrofoil
Hydrofoil MASACCIO, which partially sunk after last week's crash into a Stromboli quay, will be scrapped. Former Ustica Lines, now Liberty Lines, already started the construction of a new high-speed craft.
She is being built at their own shipyard in Trapani, aimed at replacing the MASACCIO as from next summer.
The new hydrofoil will be completed by May 2017.
Meanwhile, the Milazzo - Lipari - Stromboli line, previously served by the MASACCIO, is deploying the 31m Rodriguez hydrofoil ANTIOCO (238 passengers).
