FRS switches its Sassnitz service from Ystad to Trelleborg as from next year

High-speedThe FRS Baltic high-speed ferry SKÅNE JET has been operating between Sassnitz and Ystad since 2020. For the start of the 2023 season, there will now be a change of course and the new port of destination will be Trelleborg.

SKÅNE JET can carry more than 600 passengers and up to 200 vehicles and can go between Germany to Sweden in just 2.5 hour.

Sweden's southernmost city is located on the Baltic coast in the historic province of Skåne. With the change of port, FRS Baltic hopes to offer its customers even more service in the future. Among other things, it is planned to expand the range of day trips. In addition to Ystad, new excursions are planned to Lund, the "Cambridge of Sweden", Copenhagen and Malmö. "With the change to Trelleborg, our guests will be able to reach their holiday destination even faster thanks to the better transport connections and also choose from a variety of interesting excursion packages," adds Moritz Bruns, Managing Director of FRS Baltic GmbH. Another advantage of the change of port: Trelleborg is well suited as an efficient hub for the cargo business. The transport of small freight units and express general cargo will complement FRS Baltic's service portfolio from the year 2023.
