Former Moby ferry launched under the brand “World Cruises”
CruiseAs reported by Shippax earlier this year, Moby Lines’ 1982-built RoPax ferry MOBY ZAZA was sold in March this year to the Marshall Islands-based company Atlantis Maritime SA, and two months later resold to the Singapore-based Dragon 1 Pte. The new owner renamed the vessel ZAZA before it departed via the Suez Canal for Malaysia in mid-May.
MOBY ZAZA was originally delivered as OLAU BRITANNIA by AG Weser Seebeckswerft to the then Olau Line for service between Sheerness and Vlissingen. Its 1981-built sister ship is today operated by Trasmediterránea as ALMARIYA on routes between Spain and North Africa.
The ferry has now arrived in Singapore under the name WORLD LEGACY, registered in Liberia, painted entirely in dark blue with gold stripes, and bearing the name World Cruises along its hulls.
WORLD LEGACY is a floating lifestyle destination offering a hybrid experience, allowing guests to stay for a few hours or several days. Access is seamless with ferries operating from both Singapore and Malaysia. Preview voyages commence on 18 December 2025.
The ship is designed to evolve with the day, shifting from daytime relaxation and wellness to a lively social playground at night, featuring dining, cocktails, live music, and immersive entertainment. Vice President of Hotel Operations, Martin Blanar, noted that it provides a flexible, duty-free escape from traditional holiday constraints, allowing guests to set their own rhythm.
WORLD LEGACY features 300 stylish cabins, from cosy two-person rooms to family cabins and VIP suites.
The culinary experiences cater to all moods, with options like the 24-hour Asian-inspired Uncle Wu Cafe, Orchid Pavilion (traditional Chinese), and Legacy Buffet.
Evening venues include Clubhouse 88 (sports bar), Legacy Theatre (live performances), and the theatrical Illusion Bar (speakeasy).
The Sunset Deck, opening in 2026, will offer panoramic sea views and seamless day-to-night programming.
