Damen and Fincantieri interested in STX France
YardReuters reports that both the Dutch Damen group as well as Fincantieri are interested in bidding for STX France.
The news agency is quoting a "Le Monde" article published earlier last week. So far, the only official information regarding the sales process was that, according to the French finance ministry, there were "two potential buyers" for STX France.
The South Korean STX Corporation is in receivership since May 2016 and willing to sell off the French yard. However, the French state still holds a 33% minority stake in STX France since the yard apart from cruise ships and ferries is also building naval vessels.
