Azeri company order Caspian Sea ro-pax at domestic shipyard
YardBaku Shipyard LLC has received an order for two ro-pax ferries to be built for the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company. Although the passenger capacity will be 100 the ships will especially be used for the transportation of freight.
The contract is worth around USD 80 million.
The project's designer is Ukraine's Marine Engineering Bureau.
The contract was signed on October 26.
