Wasaline supports the organization Mercy Ships
Wasaline will support Mercy Ships by selling gift cards for day cruises where the entire income, in full, goes to Mercy Ships.
”We are very happy about the cooperation with Wasaline. Our hospital ship AFRICA MERCY is now in Senegal. The campaign contributes to life transformations for poor people. With the help of support like this, we can develop the healthcare, says Tomas Fransson, National Director, Mercy Ships Sweden.”
“Mercy Ships does an extremely valuable job which I deeply respect, and Wasaline also wanted to support their important work. At the same time, anyone who wants to join the campaign can support, for example, by buying a Christmas gift that feels good to both the recipient and donor.
The gift cards can be purchased until Christmas in Wasaline terminals and in my opinion it is the best Christmas present You can give", says Peter Ståhlberg, CEO of Wasaline. Mercy Ships owns and operates the world's largest civil hospital ship, AFRICA MERCY. It provides free healthcare to the poorest people in the world.
It also helps nations to build their own healthcare capabilities and sustainable development through education. Surgeries, dental care and qualified medical care is offered on board the ship that transform a person's life from unnecessary suffering to health and hope. Mercy Ships has visited close to 600 ports in more than 70 countries and helped over 2.5 million people. About 1,000 volunteers from about 40 different nations assist the work each year.
