Viking Line's popular ship VIKING CINDERELLA normally cruises daily between Stockholm and Mariehamn. During the pandemic, the ship has only been able to operate periodically and then with half of its normal passenger capacity to guarantee social distancing. At the same time, the interest in cruising is big and many long for relaxation at sea.

- Before the summer, we have planned for several exciting Baltic Sea destinations such as the High Coast and Gotland and the booking pressure has been high with several sold-out departures. Due to Denmark's pandemic restrictions, we now choose to redirect the summer's first two planned cruises to Bornholm, so that travelers can instead discover wonderful Ystad and Österlen. The cruise arrangement is otherwise the same as before, with one day on Österlen and one day on Gotland. In Ystad, you can discover the surroundings on your own, join a tasting trip on Karl Fredrik's Österlen, or indulge in cozy excitement in Kurt Wallander's footsteps, says Kenneth Gustavsson, sales director for Viking Line Scandinavia.

This summer's special cruises to Österlen depart from Stockholm via Mariehamn with one day in Ystad and one day in Visby. The cruises depart at 16.00 from Stadsgårdskajen in Stockholm on 6 June and 20 June. Price example SEK 2,198 / person including cabin and three dinners on board.

Already booked travelers to Bornholm in June will be contacted directly by Viking Line, which offers an equivalent cruise to Österlen and Visby, or rebooking or canceling the trip.
